Beyond just “I’m suffocating in this silence”, I think it means that he’s back now, and it’s almost like no time has passed at all. ![]() That fleeting, solitary bridge segment where his hair is down, petals fly off the white rose, and the choreo is much more subdued is like he’s shattering this illusion of ethereal perfection that his image used to be it disappears just as quickly as it’s shown.Īnd lastly, he starts and ends the dance in the same pose, with his hand around his neck like he’s choking. It’s a hauntingly beautiful visual representation of losing control of yourself. Hyunjin’s expressions, movements, and even clothing progressively unravel as the dance continues. He wants us to see the uglier, flawed human underneath, to perceive his skills in the raw.ĭance starts out with Hyunjin looking in a mirror, but right after he looks straight into the camera for the first time, there’s a line in the song that goes “Got secrets I can’t tell.” I don’t think I need to explain the meaning behind this one. A two-in-one statement of missed opportunities, and also how he resents being dismissed as “just a princely visual”. The way Hyunjin rips off that cascading, princely outer is very reminiscent of the ending of Stray Kids’ 2020 MAMA performance.
